A natural source of well-being
Located just 80 km from Athens, Loutraki stretches along the Corinthian Gulf with an identity that has been linked to water for decades. The Municipal Thermal Springs are the heart of this relationship—a place where the natural element, Interwar architecture, and mythology coexist without exaggeration.
The circular building of the Spring, constructed in 1921 and completed in its current form in 1934, is distinguished by its simple yet imposing presence. Inside, your eyes will be drawn to the mosaic displays by Stefanos Xenopoulos, featuring Nereids, dancing Dryads, and the god Helios emerging as Night recedes. The natural landscape and the artistic narrative complement each other, creating a sense of serenity and continuity.
The thermal water of the spring is sodium-chloride, oligomineral, weakly alkaline (pH 7.2–7.3), hypotonic, and radioactive, with a temperature of 30.4–34.5°C. It is traditionally used for conditions of the musculoskeletal, digestive, and urinary systems, as well as for general relaxation and well-being.
Combine your visit with a stroll along the Loutraki promenade or a short excursion to the Geraneia Mountains. The experience of the water gains a deeper meaning when continued outdoors, in the very landscape that gives it life.
