Experience and taste the magic of a historic olive grove
An ancient olive grove once occupied this very same ground, traversed by the path that connected the Oracle of Delphi to the port of Kirra. Stretching across hundreds of hectares down to the Corinthian Gulf, this land has never stopped being cultivated and producing fruit.
Visit the local olive oil mills and seek out these flavourful olives in the nearby shops. You can discover the paths that wind through the grove on foot or by bicycle, and admire the ancient olive trees with their enchanting trunks and the traditional stone trafous (terraces) that delineate properties. If you follow the Delphi – Chrisso – Kirra trail (approximately 2 hours), you will come across the old cobblestone path and enjoy unparalleled views of the Corinthian Gulf, the archaeological site, and the vast sea of trees. Especially in the late afternoon, when the golden light bathes the trees, you will truly experience the magic of the Delphic landscape.
