A green oasis with running waters
You can also walk through the tunnel that channels the springs’ water into the lake. It is 150 m long, 2.5 m high and the running water reaches up to your feet. The tunnel is dark, so it is not recommended for individuals with claustrophobia. It is advisable to have the necessary equipment and, if necessary, be accompanied by a certified guide.
Alternatively, follow the pine and plane tree-lined path leading to the lake and observe the geese, ducks and peacocks. It is an oasis that, along with the Valley of the Butterflies and Mount Prophet Elias, belongs to the Natura 2000 protected zone.
The greatness of natural beauty extends beyond the Seven Springs. The nearby forests are ideal for walks, and you can even hike as far as to the village of Kolymbia. Its fields and plains are irrigated by the waters of the Seven Springs through a dam constructed during the Italian occupation.
