The historic spa town of Evia
The area boasts over 80 thermal springs, set amidst lush vegetation, stunning coastlines, and towering mountains. The baths have been in operation since at least the 4th century BC, with the Roman general Sulla establishing the first Roman baths and hosting lavish banquets.
Edipsos flourished in the early 20th century, with most of the area’s hotels constructed at that time. Numerous celebrities benefited from its thermal springs and strolled along its beautiful beach, including Maria Callas, Omar Sharif, Winston Churchill, and Greta Garbo, imbuing the renowned resort with a cosmopolitan aura.
Visitors to Edipsos can indulge in therapeutic baths, mud baths, hydrotherapy, and swimming in the sea where the springs converge. It offers well-being and rejuvenation for all ages, while excursions in the area and the activities available complement the range of options.
