Cut the pumpkin flesh into medium-sized pieces.
Finely chop the onion and gently sauté it in a saucepan over low heat.
Remove the pan from the heat, add the paprika and deglaze with the vinegar.
Add the pumpkin pieces and stir well.
Add the cumin and crushed garlic cloves.
Simmer for about 15 minutes, until the pumpkin becomes soft and puréed.
Pour in the milk and stir. The soup is now almost ready!
Taste and season with nutmeg, salt, pepper, and a little extra vinegar if needed.
