The gateway to the Cyclades

A stone’s throw from Athens, Kea stands tall on the threshold of the Cyclades, opposite Lavrio. Known also as Tzia, it is an island rich in antiquities, traditions, and delicious food.
The landscape features dramatic variations, with steep mountains, small meadows, olive groves, vineyards, ravines, picturesque coves, and secluded beaches. It is also graced by the largest oak forest in the Cyclades and a wealth of bird fauna. Many small caves present particular geological interest, while the mine in the Orko area evokes memories of the eras of ore extraction.
In antiquity, the island comprised four independent city-states, a fact that reflects its significance in the ancient world. Lyrical poets, eminent physicians, and philosophers hailed from this land.
Today, the heart of the island beats in Korissia, the port, and Ioulida, the Hora, while smaller holiday villages and numerous holiday homes contribute to its current profile.
A beloved destination for sailing and scuba diving enthusiasts, Tzia is a simple and authentic place, with traditions, local delicacies, and beautiful seas.
