Volcanic charm

Santorini, known in ancient times as Thera, is one of the most famous islands in the world. It owes this to its active volcano, in whose caldera you can stay, enjoy exceptional local products, and have a drink or coffee while taking in an unparalleled view.
Santorini is located at the southernmost point of the Cyclades and comprises a complex of islands: Thera, Thirasia, Aspronisi, Palea Kameni and Nea Kameni. Behind its current image lies a fascinating geological history: successive major explosive phases over hundreds of thousands of years shaped the characteristic caldera, collapsing and rebirthing the island time and again.
This created a unique setting found nowhere else on the planet. Impressive hamlets spread across the rim of the caldera, like works of art carved into the rocks created by volcanic lava. Beaches that impress with their colours: black, red, and white sand, multicoloured pebbles, and steep cliffs that bear witness to the island’s geological history. All this is complemented by wonderful small, picturesque villages scattered across the island's slopes, each with its own charm.
Santorini is an arid island, which nonetheless has fertile soil and unique crops, mainly vines, fava beans, and tomatoes. It is an international gastronomic destination with distinct local recipes, such as melitzanosalata (aubergine dip) made with white aubergines and the famous tomatokeftedes (tomato fritters).
Cosmopolitan and romantic, yet with an intense night-life, Santorini is ethereally seductive. As the blue of the Aegean Sea blends with the reddish rocks and the dazzling white of the houses, it will enchant you with its beauty and energy. Here, every moment feels like a dream and every image like a memory of a "Lost Atlantis" that you will adore.
