The wild beauty of the Cyclades

Serifos, an island linked to the Greek myth of Perseus, has its own distinct Cycladic air. Its land is made of iron and granite, which is why its history is connected to mining: copper mainly in antiquity, iron and other minerals during the 19th century AD. For years, the island lived according to the rhythm of mining, as evident from the abandoned mines found at various locations.
The way the sea embraces Serifos has endowed it with some of the most beautiful shores in the Aegean Sea. Rocky coasts, fine pebbles, golden sands, small coves, and crystal-clear, deep blue waters compose an idyllic place. The pride of the island is Psili Ammos, which has been described by international media as one of the top twenty beaches in Europe.
The Chora is built amphitheatrically on a rocky hill, like a fortress, against the threat of pirates, and is one of the most elegant in the Cyclades. Its alleys, narrow and labyrinthine, lead to small squares, churches with blue domes, and spots with breathtaking panoramic views. The castle, guardian of the island for centuries, stands at the peak, a lookout and protector.
On Serifos, you will come to enjoy the authentic Cycladic air, relax on beautiful beaches, hike on old paths connecting forgotten hamlets, and see landscapes with a unique industrial aura. Authentic flavours by the sea and dives at virtually untouched beaches promise unforgettable, enchanting moments.
