Samian Wine

Internationally recognized PDO wines

From the slopes of Mount Ambelos, bathed in the light of the Aegean Sea, Samian wine is born. With recognised designations of origin, it is one of the most recognisable Greek products internationally. The famous Samian muscat grape, cultivated on terraces that resemble a work of art, offers wines that balance sweetness and finesse, tradition and innovation.
The vineyards spread amphitheatrically on the slopes, creating a magical setting where nature and man have worked harmoniously for centuries. Today, the island has 2,200 winegrowers and 8 wineries
To discover the island's winemaking history, it is worth visiting the Samian Wine Museum of UWC Samos. Among old barrels, tools, photographs and collectible bottles, you will see how the Samians managed to transform nature into art. Choose the guided tours and wine tastings that reveal the journey of wine through the centuries, from ancient symposia to today's international awards. Try the white muscat, the famous moschoudi, as well as dry and sweet varieties, and learn about modern techniques that respect the land and highlight its character.
Every summer, Wine Festivals throughout the island bring together locals and travellers, in a feast of taste, music and tradition. Walk through the vineyards, meet the people who care for the land with passion and let the aroma of muscat accompany you on a journey to authenticity and euphoria. Samian wine contains Samos in every drop.
