In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar and salt, and mix well.
Gradually add the water, in which you have dissolved the yeast. Mix thoroughly until the batter becomes thick and smooth.
Cover with a cloth and leave the dough to rest until bubbles form on the surface.
Heat the oil well in a deep saucepan.
Using a wet tablespoon, scoop portions of the batter and carefully drop them into the hot oil.
Fry until the loukoumades turn an even golden colour. Remove with a slotted spoon and serve.
Drizzle generously with honey and sprinkle with ground cinnamon and sesame seeds.
