Outdoor Activities in Ermioni

From swimming and sailing to hiking and exploration

Ermioni is a place that favours the outdoor experience. With an extensive coastline, mild terrain and easy access to both the sea and the hinterland, it offers activities that range from the water to the hills.
The calm, clear waters around Ermioni, Porto Heli and the small bays of the area are ideal for swimming, snorkelling and diving. Organised boat or sailing trips allow you to explore secluded beaches and neighbouring islets, such as Dokos, while you can also try water skiing or other water sports. Fishing, whether recreational or experiential with locals, remains part of daily local life.
The Bisti forest is ideal for hiking, running or cycling in a lush landscape with pine trees that reach the sea. On the other hand, the Katafyki Gorge, with its impressive rocks and rich vegetation, invites you for hiking and is an ideal spot for nature lovers and photographers.
In the hinterland, the landscape is also suitable for walking and exploration. Marked and informal hiking trails cross low hills, olive groves and agricultural land, connecting villages, viewpoints and historical sites. These same routes are suitable for cycling or trekking. Organised horse-riding experiences are available in selected areas, allowing for a slower, experiential contact with the landscape.
If you seek more adventure, Ermioni offers opportunities for off-road driving with 4x4s or ATVs on forest and rural roads, to discover spots that remain off the beaten track. These routes combine nature, views and historical interest, without requiring extreme skills.
